Counter Terrorism Awareness Training
We will be working with the Counter Terrorism Police North West (CTPNW) to deliver the new ‘Counter Terrorism Awareness’ training to all our employees. The national campaign by >Counter Terrorism Policing continues to urge the public to report suspicious activity to help police bring dangerous offenders to justice and prevent terror attacks in the UK and overseas. ‘Make nothing happen’ focuses on the critical role the public can play in defeating terrorism and was the first under a new branding platform called ACT: Action Counters Terrorism.
A few of you will have completed similar training to this a couple of years ago which was called 'Project Griffin'. The training has now been updated therefore we will be offering this awareness training to all our employees going forward.
Lancashire Constabulary will be coming to our head office to deliver the training in September and we would like all our Bed Watch Officers and NHS Staff to attend the first training event. The training will be tailored to incorporate your work environment as whilst the chances of being caught up in a terrorist incident remain rare, it is important to be prepared and know how to protect yourself if the need arises.
