Lingwood Security have been providing an additional team of mobile guards to Network Rail over the past three months, which has resulted in a 40% reduction in delay minutes for incidents in the Clapham Junction to East Croydon / Selhurst zone.
This positive feedback was delivered to us last week from their Head of Security, Crime and Resilience, who was delighted to share his data with us.
Despite a 40% increase in the number of incidents requiring attendance, compared to the same period last year, there was a 40% decrease in the delay minutes accrued. Out of 25 incidents recorded during this period, we attended 22 of those.
The additional mobile patrol route commenced on 1st November 2023, and involved two teams covering the hours of 1pm-1am each day, from Clapham Junction down to East Croydon.
Rail Security is very much at the forefront of what we do as a business, so it was great to receive the comment below and to see the positive impact our teams have made.
“I thought I would share with you the excellent results that your team have produced since the additional teams have been in place in South London. I have shared this with my Exec with a view to continuing with this during 24/25. Please pass my thanks on to your teams and ensure they know that they really are making a difference and its very much appreciated.”
