Security Work Completed on £20m Project
Lingwood Security have recently completed six months security work on the Hams Hall – Coventry contract with Balfour Beatty.
We have been providing security on this project since 25th November 2019.
We began working for Balfour Beatty on behalf of National Grid providing Security Officers and a Mobile Security Supervisor.
Our specific job was to protect the cable, whilst ensuring full health and safety guidelines were adhered to at all times.
We are proud to announce that we worked over 25,000 hours on this project and did not have any thefts from the site.
The purpose of the project was to replace the 20km overhead line running between Hams Hall substation near Coleshill and Coventry substation near Bedworth. The wires had come to the end of their working life so they needed replacing.
The project represents a £20 million investment from National Grid in this refurbishment work, and it will help to maintain the electricity supply in the area and keep power flowing to homes and businesses.
