Congratulations to our Kick-starters
Lingwood Security would like to congratulate our three government scheme kick-starters Naomi, Lauren and Gary for reaching their first year with the company.
The Kickstart Scheme provides funding to create new jobs for 16 to 24 year olds on Universal Credit who are at risk of long term unemployment.
The funding covers:
- 100% of the National Minimum Wage (or the National Living Wage depending on the age of the participant) for 25 hours per week for a total of 6 months
- Associated employer National Insurance contributions
- Minimum automatic enrolment pension contributions
Naomi has been working closely with Lily within the recruitment team, selecting candidates for roles and carrying out interviews and inductions.
Lauren has been working in screening and vetting and has recently become a social value champion for the company, pushing ideas on how we can make improvements and get involved with the community to make positive changes.
Gary began assisting with screening and vetting of our guards and recently moved into a further role in our control department assisting with confirming shifts, checking our rostering system and speaking with the guards.
They have all carried out an excellent role at Lingwood Security and have shown they are eager to learn more about the security industry and develop their career paths. This has been a great opportunity for them all to gain work experience and for Lingwood Security as a company to grow.
