My role at Lingwood Security is Administrative Assistant and I manage Recruitment.
We are a growing company that is taking on new contracts and expanding current ones so recruitment can be constant!
My day-to-day duties include reading through applications, speaking to candidates, finding out more about who they are as a person, and all the steps involved in bringing somebody on board! I believe it’s important to see people for who they are and what they can bring to a team.
My role is important because I am bringing people into our company who will be doing the most important job and securing our client’s property.
How did you first get involved with Lingwood Security Management?
I first got involved by working for Lingwood Security as a cleaner, the position for Administrator came up and I took my chance!
What was your first impression of Lingwood Security Management?
Honest and very hard working company.
What’s your first memory of working at Lingwood Security Management?
More than likely something to do with getting lost.
What has surprised you most about working at Lingwood Security Management?
How much the management team care, they never switch off!
What do you find most challenging about your work?
Trying to fill a role in a remote area can be a nightmare!
What’s the best/worst thing to happen since you started working at Lingwood Security Management?
The best thing since I started working for Lingwood Security is the people I have met, I have made some friendships that will last the rest of my life. The worst thing to happen was me answering the phone with “Security Lingwood” I have got much better on the phones but wow that was bad!
If you could change one thing about Lingwood Security Management, what would it be?
Absolutly nothing, maybe more cakes from Lauren!
What interesting characters have you worked with at Lingwood Security Management?
Plenty, either through working directly on a clients site or at the office! I think anybody who works in security needs to be different, it’s not your ordinary 9-5!
What do you think will change at Lingwood Security Management over the next five years, or in the industry as a whole?
I think the security indiustry will only grow. We love CCTV, but having a guard physically there is such a great deterrent for crime!
If you weren’t working at Lingwood Security Management, what would you be doing instead, or what would your life be like?
Somewhere hot! UK weather is shocking.
How would someone describe you?
I’d like to think someone would describe me as funny, but I don’t know if the laughs are at me or with me!
What do you do when you aren’t working?
Spending time with family, friends and my dog! I binge watch Netflix (I love a good series), going for a random adventure and cleaning!
