Security Manager
As Operations Manager, my role is to oversee all aspects of the Control Room and the Team. I have several important responsibilities that are vital to the success of the Company: – Rosters: I ensure that all shifts are covered and that the information is relayed to the Officers accurately.
- Keyholding/Alarm Response/VPI’s: I work closely with Clients and adhere to their requirements.
- Inductions: I organize and attend inductions for both new and existing Officers, ensuring that they are aware of what is required and familiar with our processes.
- Appraisals: I stay connected with our Officers, providing assistance and answering any queries they may have.
- Site Visits: I carry out impromptu site visits to ensure that our Officers are performing their duties in accordance with the Client’s instructions.
- Client Visits: I meet with Clients to address any concerns they may have and to keep them updated on current and future projects.
- Site Set Ups: I set up new contracts, identifying any hazards and best practices that need to be put in place to ensure that the project runs smoothly from a security standpoint.

As I started my new role, I was amazed by the sheer number of employees. However, I was confident that I would be able to handle the challenge of keeping track of everyone efficiently.

What’s the best/worst thing to happen since you started working at Lingwood Security Management?
The best thing to happen to me was getting promoted from supervisor to manager. However, the worst thing was having to work night shifts.
If you could change one thing about Lingwood Security Management, what would it be?
It would be really great to have more friendly and capable security officers on the ground who can perform their duties with utmost professionalism and efficiency.

If you weren’t working at Lingwood Security Management, what would you be doing instead, or what would your life be like?
I would probably be working as a manager in a pub, either in the countryside or abroad if I were lucky!

What do you do when you aren’t working?
My partner and take care of the children. We’re definitely not too old for that now, haha.
