Project Name: Audley Redwood Security Project
Lingwood Security Management (LSM) have been providing security for Balfour Beatty to support them in the construction of a £37m retirement village at Redwood, Bristol, for Audley Villages.
Security work on the project commenced on 12th September 2016, and came to end this last weekend (5th May), with the site manager saying he was ‘more than impressed’ with the service we have provided during the project.
LSM supervisor Martin Knight has done a great job running the project, ensuring nightly security coverage during the week, and 24 hour cover over the weekends to keep the site secure.
Audley Redwood village is set within 15 acres of landscaped parkland and is moments from Bristol. The village is now open and comprises 106 apartments and 20 cottages, all built to complement the local Georgian architecture. Audley owns 12 villages and manages two more providing more than 1,000 properties, and intends to double this total over five years.
Following the success of the project, Balfour Beatty invited LSM to look at another large scale security project commencing in Bristol in the coming weeks. They have been awarded a £43 million contract to deliver second phase of Bristol’s Wapping Wharf regeneration project, so this will require a similar level of security to Redwood, which our team can deliver.
Speaking following the completion of the Audley Redwood project, director Alan Lingwood said the following.
“Once again the team have done us proud. To receive such positive feedback from Balfour Beatty was a credit to our operatives and the way they conduct themselves. It has also created an exciting new opportunity in the coming weeks, which we are very much looking forward to getting involved in. My thanks to all of our staff who worked on this project.”
