Beer, Bands & Burgers 2019
Lingwood Security recently provided security for the prestigious Beer, Bands & Burgers Festival 2019 at Anderton Boat Lift in Cheshire.
We provided two door supervisors to work on Friday 24th, Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May, providing a security presence before, during and after the event each day, and assisting with crowd management at the end of the event to ensure public safety.
This Anderton Boat Lift, known as ‘Cheshire’s Cathedral of the Canals’ involved three nights of live music, cask ales and delicious food. It took place in the lift view marquee and also on the lawned terraces.
Guests could choose from 12 ales, 6 ciders, gin & prosecco bar, gourmet burgers & a different local band each night:
- Friday 24 – The Dans from Crewe got the party started with Rock, Funk, Blues & Pop.
- Saturday 25 – It was a chance to relive the 80’s (and a few Simple Minds classics) with Reminds, from Northwich.
- Sunday 26 – A boogie on down to the best in Soul & Motown with music from Stoke-on-Trent four piece, The Gospel Truth.
We were delighted to receive positive feedback following the event, particularly with regard to the conduct of our guards.
Graham Wood, Duty Manager Operations & Events for Anderton Boat Lift, said: “Can I thank you for providing some excellent staff for our recent Beer, Bands & Burgers event which we held on 24th to 26th May 2019. I must compliment your staff who turned up punctually each evening, very professional, helpful and were very efficient in the way they cleared the public from our lift view marquee after the event was over, they are a credit to your company. Thanks once again for all of your help and I look forward to speaking to you in the near future about our Firework Spectacular later in the year.”
Speaking after the event, Alan Lingwood, Director, said: “I’m delighted to hear how this event went; it sounds like my kind of weekend! I’m proud of the way our guards conducted themselves, and to receive this positive feedback from Graham Wood is a testament to that. We are always looking to get involved in events such as this, as it puts us in close contact with the general public and is a chance to meet a few friendly faces, as well as provide a visual reminder of our brand and the services we can offer UK-wide.”
