Brian Swarbrick – 10 Years’ Service
Congratulations to Brian Swarbrick who is celebrating ten years’ service with Lingwood Security.
Brian is a Security Officer and has worked on one of our local sites on White Lund during his time with us.
We recently paid for him and his wife to have a meal at Far Pavilion, which they both enjoyed, to thank him for his length of service and dedication to our company.
We also decided to ask him a few questions about his time with us. Over to you Brian:
How did you first get involved with Lingwood Security Management?
I decided on a career change from care work to something completely different. And after interview was successful in joining Lingwood Security Management.
What was your first impression of Lingwood Security Management?
It was a good first impression and I found all the management very friendly and professional.
What’s your first memory of working at Lingwood Security Management?
My first memory was following Ian (Gourlay) round the lanes to Kellet to a plant on my interview day. Straight into it!
What has surprised you most about working at Lingwood Security Management?
The amount of work and new sites there are now since I first started.
What’s the best/worst thing to happen since you started working at Lingwood Security Management?
Best: a lovely meal with my wife, care of the management, for my long service.
Worst: driving to Gisburn in the depths of winter.
If you could change one thing about Lingwood Security Management what would it be?
To get to know new management and supervisors more.
What do you wish other people knew about Lingwood Security Management?
That they are really good to staff and are a good company to work for.
What interesting characters have you worked with at Lingwood Security Management?
I have worked with some top blokes who are still friends, even though they have retired or moved on.
What do you think will change at Lingwood Security Management over the next five years, or in the industry as a whole?
Hopefully if The Eden Project is brought to Morecambe, it may bring a lot more work opportunities for Lingwood Security and us as employees.
If you weren’t working at Lingwood Security Management, what would you be doing instead, or what would your life be like?
I would probably be retired but I enjoy my work with Lingwood Security so will continue as long as there is work for me to do.
How would someone describe you?
Heather said ‘we all think you are amazing.’ Thank you Heather.
What do you do when you aren’t working?
Play out on my bike.
