Project Name: Canal & River Trust Security Project
Lingwood Security Management have recently won a five year contract with the Canal & River Trust and are excited to begin our partnership providing various security services across a wide variety of construction and maintenance projects throughout the UK.
The contract will run for five years and was initially applied for by 70 different security companies, who were given a pre-qualification assessment, which reduced the list of suitable suppliers to nine.
Lingwood Security was one of the nine companies who were then invited along to give a formal presentation to the Canal & River Trust, which was presented by Director Alan Lingwood and General Manager Thomas Docherty. The presentation was very well received from the Canal & River Trust Framework team. This ultimately resulted in us being awarded the contract, along with three other companies, who will work together to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standard.
The Trust undertakes a vast array of construction and maintenance projects each year, and their needs increase during the winter period, from October to the end of March, so the security service we are providing will be responsive to their ever-changing requirements. The first site is now underway, with many more to follow spread across a wide area.
The construction projects are generally fixed site locations & have durations varying between 1 – 12 weeks. These will typically involve both manned guards and mobile patrols, with additional support services provided as required.
Some of these construction sites can hold valuable equipment and can often be in areas where the risk of theft & antisocial behaviour is high, so the need for efficient, experienced security is vital.
Speaking after winning the contract, Director Alan Lingwood said the following.
