Crossrail Outer West Project
Lingwood Security are currently providing security support to Balfour Beatty for the Crossrail Outer West Project along 30 miles of railway.
The project encompasses P-Way, signalling and station upgrades along the full length of this line. Our principle responsibilities include providing security to the infrastructure and assets along the full length of the project, covering multiple sites, many of which are manned 24/7. Along with the provision of mobile drivers who are engaged in proactive monitoring & inspection, reactive response to alarm activations & emergent situations and importantly facilitation of the clients/nominated contractors’ day to day operations.
Full details of the Crossrail project are available here…
The project began in February and is due to run until the end of the year. We are currently looking after ten different sites from West Drayton to Iver, and have recruited over 50 members of staff for this project. Two of our senior team,
Mark Dewar and Thomas Docherty, have been travelling to Maidenhead at least once a month to check on our staff and complete audits.
On 21st July, directors Alan Lingwood (Snr) and Alan Lingwood (Jnr) visited all of the sites at Maidenhead, along with Mark Dewar, to inspect and check on progress.
Speaking after the visit, Alan Lingwood (Snr) said: “I’m really impressed with how smart and presentable the guards looked today. We met with three guards, Adrian Ianuc, Tim Khan and Mahmood Zaffar. It makes me proud to see them representing Lingwood Security in this manner. They are doing an excellent job on what is a prestigious contract for us to be awarded.”
