Director’s View: August 2019

Welcome to the August review of what’s been happening at Lingwood Security Management.

Back to school for the kids and back to normality for us parents. Things always seem to ramp up a gear in September as everybody gets back into the cycle of work, although given how busy our summer has been at Lingwood Security Management, I think our team would all love a six week break right now. I won’t be signing off on that one though!

I am very pleased to announce that we have just passed our 13th annual ISO 9001. 14001 and ACS audits. A huge well done and thank you to the team who work hard constantly to ensure we are working to the high standards that are required.

We are in the final stages of developing a new staff portal which will go live on the 9th September. This is where all our employees can view payslips, enter holiday requests, send in timesheets, and start getting employee benefits, including discounts, local offers, fitness and healthcare packages.

This big investment is part our employee care strategy, to give something back to benefit our staff and also to make Lingwood Security a great place to work.

New projects commenced in August

Trespass & Vandalism Project

Regular readers will be familiar with the Network Rail Trespass and Vandalism project that we have been involved with during the last two school holidays. I will be attending the close out meeting mid-September, so will update you with the feedback in due course.

Vintage Festival

Morecambe Vintage Festival was once again a huge success for the town; the streets were packed both days even though the weather wasn’t too kind. Our events team loved being a part of it.

A huge well done and thank you to our Events Team who did a fantastic job. We have received all positive comments from the festival organisers and also members of the public who attended the iconic award winning festival!

We are always proud to be involved in events in our home town. Thank you in particular to our Supervisor Brandon, who has put a lot of effort into organising and manning the events and doors in Morecambe over the summer.

Positive Feedback

This month I have received positive feedback from various sources, but in particular I was pleased with this one from Kate Drummond of the Make My Day Community Arts Festival.

“The security guard turned up in plenty of time, and he was really helpful and looked after our site for us well. The festival went really well. Even though we all got soaked at the end when we were packing up.”

Well done to all involved.

Wishing you all a productive and prosperous September.
