Lingwood Security Involvement in Prince Charles’ Visit
Lingwood Security were excited to be asked to provide the security whilst Prince Charles visited Morecambe. Working closely with Lancaster City Council, Lingwood Security managed road closures, crowd safety and safety of the Prince.
Prince Charles visited Morecambe Friday (8th of July) stopping off at Morecambe’s Winter Gardens and Morecambe Fire Station.
It was fantastic to be involved in such an event!
The Prince of Wales was visiting Morecambe Winter Gardens as part of its 125th anniversary celebrations
Prince Charles met with volunteers and trustees at the Grade Two listed building which was originally built as the Victoria Pavilion Theatre in 1897. The visit recognises the work of volunteers who are restoring the building.
Last year, volunteers put in more than 12,500 hours of work into the project. During lockdown they managed to keep the building going and raised £1.2 million for restoration work.
Everyone was excited for the arrival of the Prince and were delighted that he had chosen the Winter Gardens as a place to visit in Morecambe.
