Network Rail Extension
Great news this week at Lingwood Security Management as we have been awarded a 6 month extension to our contract with Network Rail on the London North Western Route.
The London North Western route covers the rail network from London to the West Midlands, North West and Scotland. The route consists of the West Coast Main Line between London Euston and the Scottish border, the Chiltern Main Line between London Marylebone and Birmingham Snow Hill and the rail routes in the Merseyside, North West, and West Midlands areas.
Rail services within the route support long distance, interurban and commuter passenger flows into and between the main centres of London, Milton Keynes, Birmingham, Manchester, Preston and Liverpool. Significant freight flows also operate across the route and include intermodal, automotive and aggregate traffic serving a number of key freight terminals.
There are a number of large scale investments planned on the route over the next 10 years including station upgrades, longer trains, improved services and infrastructure schemes. These all need professional security support, which is where Lingwood Security Management comes in.
Lingwood Security Management has vast experience in delivering protective security to our national railway infrastructure. All of our operatives are highly trained in trackside safety and are aware of any current threats to this line of communication. They all have rail experience and are highly competent operators; each holding the correct pre-requisites and certifications to work trackside.
Four more of our guards recently completed the Network Rail Personal Track Safety (PTS) course on Friday 2nd September, further expanding our railway security projects team – read more on this…
