Quick Thinking Rescues Youth from Sea

On 9th July 2018, Lingwood Security Management Guard Jason Ankers showed quick thinking when he helped rescue a youth who had become trapped by the sea.

The incident occurred at Anchorsholme slipway when a group of youths ventured into the sea near to the ongoing engineering despite warnings from our Guard Jason.

Due to tidal movements and a strong breeze one of the youths became trapped on the moorings. Without hesitation Jason contacted the coast guard whilst keeping in constant communication with the young male who was eventually rescued.

This morning (10th July) the young male and his grandmother have returned to thank a Jason for his actions and to apologise for his dangerous behaviour.

Once again, excellent work from our guard Jason which has quite literally saved someone’s life.

Jason Ankers is currently working as a guard on the Anchorsholme Outfall Project. More on that here…
