Staff Profile: Liam Bell
Following his recent promotion to Lead Controller, we decided to ask Liam Bell a few questions to find out a bit more about him. Here is what he said:
How did you first get involved with Lingwood Security Management?
I was finding it hard to find my feet and I heard about an opportunity at Lingwood Security Management through a contact, Summer Jenkins, who already works for the company.
What was your first impression of Lingwood Security Management?
A big company with big ambitions.
What’s your first memory of working at Lingwood Security Management?
Working on the doors one bank holiday weekend and wishing I had an office job.
What has surprised you most about working at Lingwood Security Management?
How fast, if the effort is put in, that you can progress in the company.
What do you find most challenging about your work?
The pressure to please clients on the spot – for instance finding immediate cover when we have a member of staff call in sick.
What’s the best/worst thing to happen since you started working at Lingwood Security Management?
Best is definitely my new job role (Liam was promoted to Lead Controller in December 2017).
Worst – I’d say that some days are very tough.
If you could change one thing about Lingwood Security Management what would it be?
The way we work. Team effort is the key to our success and our local guards could get involved in the office more.
What do you wish other people knew about Lingwood Security Management?
A lot of people don’t realise we work outside Lancashire, covering the whole of the UK.
What interesting characters have you worked with at Lingwood Security Management?
In the office it’s a nice environment with a strong bond. Everyone gets along and it’s good.
What do you think will change at Lingwood Security Management over the next five years, or in the industry as a whole?
I think contracts with the NHS will become a bigger part of our business. Lingwood Security setting an example for the rest of the security industry.
If you weren’t working at Lingwood Security Management, what would you be doing instead, or what would your life be like?
That’s not something I think about. I like to concentrate on the present.
How would someone describe you?
Split personality. Hot and cold. 1% funny, 99% trying to be funny!
What do you do when you aren’t working?
I like to spend time with my family.
Anything else you want to tell us?
Coffee or tea with milk please.
